First Yoga Class or Meditation: Houston downtown YMCA in 1999. Gudrun was the instructor, Houston Shambhala Center for my first meditation instruction class in the Fall of 2011 and have been practicing Shamatha/Mindfulness Meditation since then.
Biggest Source of Inspiration: Meeting other people that are working to make the world a better place. Taking care of this planet we live on and each other. I am inspired by learning how I can do more and learning the skills to do more. Helping others, healing others. We need to take care of each other J I’m inspired by our Bayou Bliss community.

Bio: Beth has been practicing mindfulness meditation in the Shambhala tradition since 2011 and completed training in 2016 for authorization to give meditation instruction as a Shambhala Guide. She is a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and is the coordinator for the Houston Shambhala Meditation Group.
She is always looking for ways to increase her knowledge of health and wellness and believes meditation and yoga are important practices for a healthy mind and body. In her free time she volunteers for several non-profit organizations in the Houston area and enjoys walking at the arboretum to connect with nature.
